Join the West Coast Swing Blues Intensive Workshop with legendary dancer John Festa!

"Why does dancing to blues feel different from dancing to contemporary music? We must first understand that dance/movement is a reaction to a sound. As new sounds are created, new dances follow suit—think Swing music and Lindy Hop, Disco and Hustle, etc. Generally speaking, blues is built on a more traditional musical structure, thus requiring a different skill set than contemporary. This workshop will concentrate on enhancing connection, partnership, and footwork to facilitate developing personal expression within the framework of the traditional blues."
