A few things to know before you do: due to the scale of this event and the many moving parts involved in organizing it, we may take some time to follow up, and we aren't able to guarantee volunteer hours for everyone who applies. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the logistics.

FAQ

  • How does the volunteer process work?

You submit your application telling us what task you would like, your availability, numbers of paid or free hours you would like to do. You will receive a confirmation email, and we will contact you closer to the event to tell you what our needs are, and making sure everything works for you too.

  • How does the refund process work?

You need to buy your pass, and you will be refunded for your hours you worked at the end of the event.

  • What is the difference between volunteer and work hours?

You can decide if you want to work with us, and you will be paid 15$/h . Or you can decide to help us ans give us your time for free. Or you can mix both.

  • Can I compete, do some workshops and still being able to volunteer?

Yes definitely, we will try our best to fit your schedule and to give you the hours that works for you. 

  • Will I get all the hours I ask for?

No, it will depends on our needs and your availlibilty. We will prioritize the volunteer hours then we will do the work hours, but not everybody will have all the hours they ask.

  • What are the different tasks?

    • Registration: Helping with the registration process

    • Door check: At MWF we have leveled wokshops, you will check that people goes to the workshops that fit their level when they enter the room

    • T -shirt press: At MWF we press on our t-shirts, you will press the shirt and help with the orders

    • Ballroom setup: Helping to assemble and dissemble the floor, lights, background....

    • Competition line-up: Helping people to get in line before comps 

    • Transportation staff: Going to the airport or the train station to pick up or drop off staff
